Margie Kennedy-Reeves, Ph.D. is one of the nation's leading authorities on the trauma of loss and grief. Renowned thanatologist, lecturer, grief counselor and AfterLoss editor, she developed the crisis counseling department for Eisenhower Medical Center, in Rancho Mirage, CA, where she facilitated five weekly support groups. During the past 20 years, individually and in group sessions, she has counseled over 20,000 emotionally traumatized people coping with death, dying and the grief that follows. |

Kathy Dawson, Ms. Dawson has a distinguished background in elementary education and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, NJ. The author already holds three degrees including a Master's Degree in Christian Education and a Master's Degree of Divinity. Besides working as a school teacher for nine years, Ms. Dawson held the positions of Associate Pastor at a Presbyterian Church, as well as Chaplain to the Intensive Care Units at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
